Garden Structure Samples Part One...

So here are my samples up until now ...

The above 3 images show fabric woven on an electronic dobby.  Because of where most of my inspiration has come from I wanted to include some checked fabrics in my collection reminiscent of the tartan that the Queen is wearing in the photo (see 'Inspiration...' blog).

The above three are all knitted on a 10gg Dubied Machine combining techniques such as embossing, high and low butt knitting and single bed knitting.  The first two are intended as trims hence their smaller width.

Another 3 samples from the electronic dobby (same warp as previous samples) but these are more inspired by the gardens themselves with the geometric nature of the patterns.

The above 6 images are actually only 3 different Jacquard designs and their reverse.  Because there is more versatility in creating shapes on the Jacquard, I was able to scan in and work directly from my original sketches (see blog post 'Inspiration...') which I think offers a nice contrast against some of the plainer pieces.

All the yarns I have used are either cotton or lambswool, the only exception being the furry yarn used in some of the checks which is synthetic.
